ARTICLE II
Members
Section 1. Voting Members .
Any Erie County Sportsmen’s organization actively interested
in hunting, fishing and conservation and other allied
activities is eligible to membership after investigation and
approval of a membership committee appointed by the
president.
Section 2.
The
annual membership fee for each affiliated club or
organization and the voting power of each affiliated club or
organization shall be based upon the number of members
carried on the books of such affiliated club or
organization, as follows:
1 to 50 members $45.00 1 Vote
51 to 100 members $60.00 2 Vote
101 to 200 members $75.00 3 Votes
201 Members and over $90.00 4 Votes
The allocated voting power shall be limited to all
motions entitled to a roll call vote pursuant to Article
III, Section 11.
There shall be no excess fee and member clubs shall not
be subject to any assessment.
Section 3.
All
dues are payable at the October meeting of each year. In the
event that any club shall fail to pay dues within ninety
days of their due date, the Secretary shall give written
notice to such member club of such fact, and if payment
thereof is not made within twenty (20) days after such
notice is given, the said member club shall be automatically
suspended from membership and cannot thereafter be
reinstated except as a new member under a new application
for membership.
Section 4. Associate Members.
Associate Members shall be those persons to whom membership
shall be granted from time to time, pursuant to
authorization by the board of directors, by reason of their
interest in the goals of the corporation or their desire to
join in its activities. The board of directors may provide
for different categories of Associate Members, such as
honorary members or junior members.
Associate members shall during the month of October of
each year pay into the treasury of the Federation the sum of
$20.00, for its financial support. No associate member shall
hold office nor have any vote in the affairs of the
Federation, but shall be entitled to the privileges of the
floor at Federation meetings. Associate members need not
reside in Erie County.
Section 5. Application.
Every
application for membership shall be signed by an officer of
the group or organization applying for membership and shall
be submitted in writing to the Erie County Federation of
Sportsmen’s Clubs, Inc. which application shall be read off
by the Secretary at the next regular meeting of the
Federation. The application shall then be referred to the
Investigating Committee, which committee, in turn, shall
report the results of its investigations with its
recommendations at the next ensuing regular meeting. The
application will then be submitted at such meeting to the
Federation and if approved by a majority vote, the Secretary
shall notify the said group or organization of its election
or rejection as a member of the Erie County Federation of
Sportsmen’s Clubs, Inc. Any organization whose application
has been rejected may not submit a new application for
membership for period of at least one year after rejection.
